She presented a petition to the probate court which was consented to by
her father-in-law and her father and accepted by the judge, asking that
her child be given one-half of its father's land when it came of age and
on its mother's death as much of the other half as to give it two-thirds
of the whole, the other third to be at the free disposal of the widow.
The inventory of the estate amounted to £273. (Davis, p. 2:322)
