In his 68th year at the time of his death. (Sutton, Mass. VRs, (Search &
ReSearch CD), p. 434)

His Will was proved Apr. 4, 1820. He was a thrifty and enterprising
farmer, and owned an estate of nearly 200 acres in Sutton, a great
portion of which he inherited by Will, and succeeded his father to the
homestead. (Derby, p. 25)

Death: Date: Recorded as 'about March 1820' in Derby, p. 25.

He was a Lieutenant in the Revolutionary war; was one of the proprietors
of Braintree and contributed largely to its settlement, though never a
resident. Of ten children, two lived in Braintree. (Bass, p. 153)
