August 7 1755. Witnessed deed by James Reavis to Thomas Reavis for 160 acres on Peahill Creek in Northampton Co, NC.
August 21 1756. Samuel, Thomas and William witnessed a deed from John Jones to James Reavis on Peahill Creek in Northampton Co, NC.
February 1757. Samuel Reavis bought 144 acres from Sarah Reavis on Lashley Run in Northampton Co, NC. On November 14 of this same year he bought 225 acres on Jameys Run from Jesse Gilliam.
October 17 1758. He acted as a witness to prove a deed in court transferring 100 acres from Walter Clark to his son William. The deed states that the land had been acquired from Jesse Gilliam on December 4th, 1757.
January 1759. Samuel sold his brother William 75 acres on Lashley Run. Later the same year he sold 150 acres to Sarah Reavis. On October 25th of this year Samuel bought 40 acres from his half brother Jesse.
February 21 1765. Samuel Reavis bought 123 acres on Lashley Run from his half brother Jesse and wife Fortune Reavis. On February 23rd he bought 338 acres from Alexander Donald.
October 10 1766. Samuel Reavis bought from John Cooke, Sr. 415 acres for 30 years use. Witnesses were James Reavis, John Lashley and Henry Cook. On November 1st. Samuel Witnessed the deed of Holman Southall to James Reavis for 260 acres on the Roanoke River.
May 10 1768. Samuel Reavis bought 100 acres on Jameys Run. Witnesses: William Reavis, James Reavis and Jesse Reavis.
June 1771. Samuel Reavis bought 136 acres on the Roanoke River from Isham Reavis. In August of this same year Samuel sold to Isham Reavis land that according to the deed had been granted to him on February 3, 1765. On November 4th Samuel sold 40 acres on Jameys Run to William Kendall.
March 1773. Samuel Reavis, Charles Jones and Coalbe Randle were witnesses to a deed from James and William Allen to William Reavis for 530 acres on the Roanoke River and for Bare Island (72 acres) in the river. This same year Samuel bought 200 acres on the Roanoke River, half of Bare Island and 12 acres on the fork of Lashley Run, "were Samuel Reavis now lives." This identifies where Samuel lived in 1773 in Northampton Co., NC.
March 7 1774. Samuel Reavis of Northampton Co sold to William Warlick 350 acres on Lashley Run. Witnesses were Lewis Williamson, Benjamin W. Williamson, and Elizabeth Jones. (Samuel married into the Jones family.)
January 9 1778. Samuel Reavis and William Reavis sold to John Gholson 250 acres on Lashley's Run.
July 30 1785. The earliest record that we find of Samuel's purchasing property in Granville County is dated July 30, 1785. Samuel Reavis bought from George and Elizabeth 100 acres in Granville Co, adjoining the property of Thomas Brame, James Brame, and Drury Kimball.
August 10 1787. Samuel purchased 640 acres in one piece and 50 acres in another piece on Nutbush Creek, from James Critcher and Major Mitchell. On September 3, Samuel Reavis here first described as "of Granville County," purchased 120 acres in Granville County, from Solomon Roberson of Lincoln County.
1788. Public records reveal that Samuel Reavis appeared in court as a juror in several cases. In the same year in Northampton County Samuel Reavis entered 100 acres on the Roanoke River. On November 16th, Samuel was granted 78 acres on the Roanoke, for which he must have applied in 1789, the year of his death.
