     Alice Marie Andrews was born on 3 July 1937.4 She was the daughter of LeRoy W. Andrews and Helen Murphy.3 Alice Marie Andrews married, at age 19, Richard Delmont Sholder, age 22, son of Frederick Oscar Sholder and Ethel Irene Pryor, on Saturday, 11 August 1956.5,3 Alice Marie Andrews died on 21 December 2019 at Valley View Nursing Center, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 82 years, 5 months and 18 days.3 A memorial service for Alice Marie Andrews was held Bethel Presbyterian Church, Bottle Run, Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, on 11 January 2020 at 10:30 am with Pastor Lisa Dabney officiating.3 Alice Marie Andrews was buried in 2020 in the Green Lawn Memorial Park, located in Montgomery, Clinton Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
     She and Richard Delmont Sholder lived at 669 Sholder Road, Williamsport, Pennsylvania, between 1970 and 2006.5

     The former Alice Marie Andrews was listed in the obituary of Richard Delmont Sholder, on 28 May 2006 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, as his wife.5 Her obituary was published on 5 January 2020 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:

     Alice Marie Sholder, 82, of Williamsport, passed away Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, at Valley View Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

     While growing up and for most of her life, Alice was known as “Marie” by family and friends, with “Alice” being used by most of the Valley View staff during her time at that facility.

     She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Richard D. Sholder, on May 26, 2006.

     Born July 3, 1937, in Montgomery, she was a daughter of the late LeRoy and Helen (Murphy) Andrews.

     Marie was a Montgomery High School graduate. She worked as a secretary for the Local Carpenters Union for many years, but ultimately retired from Bi-Lo where she worked in the bakery and as a cashier. She was a member of Bethel Linden Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed crocheting and going to dinner with friends in the W&W (widows and widowers). Marie greatly enjoyed family functions with her kids, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends of the family.

     Surviving are three children, R. Dale Sholder, of Williamsport, Dalene M. Webb (Ron), of Berwick, Kenneth E. Sholder (Laurie), of Glenmoore; and seven grandchildren, Jessica (Shawn) McGrantham, Travis Sholder, Chelsey (Jeff) Gehring, Lindsey (Scott) Dalane, Jacob (Jennifer) Sholder, Cassandra Webb and Corey Sholder. Marie is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and a brother, Richard Andrews (Arlene), of Hughesville.

     In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Keith L. Sholder; a brother, Jack Andrews; and a sister, Jean Baker.

     A memorial service to honor the life of Marie will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at Bethel Linden Presbyterian Church, 2758 Bottle Run Road, Williamsport with Rev. Lisa Dabney officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.

     Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.

     In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Marie’s name to the Bethel Linden Presbyterian Church, 2758 Bottle Run Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
