Dorothea Ulmer was born on 30 August 1785 at Möhringen, Oberamt Stuttgart, Neckarkreis, Württemberg. She was the daughter of Leonhard Ulmer and Christina Margaretha Gohl. Dorothea Ulmer married Johann George Kiess, son of Johann Wilhelm Kiess and Sophia Dorothea Auch, at Blooming Grove, Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 Dorothea Ulmer died on 12 May 1860 at Warrensville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 74 years, 8 months and 12 days. She was buried in the Blooming Grove Cemetery, located in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
