Leonhard Ulmer

M, (5 January 1764 - 23 January 1837)
     Leonhard Ulmer was born on 5 January 1764 at Möhringen, Oberamt Stuttgart, Neckarkreis, Württemberg.1 He was the son of Thomas Ulmer and Regina Bluthgard. Leonhard Ulmer first married, at age 20, Christina Margaretha Gohl, daughter of Michael Gohl and Anna Catharina Margaretha Wolf, on Tuesday, 2 November 1784 at Möhringen, Oberamt Stuttgart, Neckarkreis, Württemberg. Leonhard Ulmer married a second time Catharine Wendel circa 1795. Leonhard Ulmer married a third time Rosina Weinman, daughter of Michael Weinman, circa 1797. Leonhard Ulmer died on 23 January 1837 at Blooming Grove, Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 73 years and 18 days. He was buried in the Blooming Grove Cemetery, located in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
     He is listed on the Good Ship Margaret from Amsterdam that arrived in the Port of Philadelphia on September 19, 1804; as having a wife, 5 children, age 40, born in Möehringen, coming from Württemberg, occupation as a farmer, 5 1/2 tall witih grey hair. This family is listed as 'Family A' on the Blooming Grove, Stammbaum Wäldchen (Family Tree Little Woods) that was originally printed about 1860 - 1862. The one used for this record is currently in the possession of Frederick and Zella Stabler. The Blooming Grove Historical Socitey also has one on display at their musuem. The beginning reads, "With approximately 20 family trees of families who largely live in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania and who still have living parents at the turn of the century, mostly from Mühringen and Eßlingen in Würtemberg, and who have moved here."
