     Death of Jersey Billeisen.

One of the best fellows that ever breathed the breath of life, a jolly whole-souled, sunshine-spreading individual, who looked upon the bright side of things and was in no sense a pessimist, passed to his eternal reward when Jacob F. Billeisen, better known as "Jersey" Billeisen, passed away at the home of his sister, Mrs. Eliza Schaeffer, on South Walnut street at 10 o'clock this morning. The deceased had been alling for four or five days, but was not considered seriously ill, nor did he feel himself seriously ill. In fact, he was reading the morning paper when heart disease took him off suddenly.

The deceased was born in this city, March 27th, 1849, and lived here all his life. He was married to Jane Pauline Duff in January, 1875, and she preceded him to the grave in April, 1905.

One son survives, John R. Billeisen, of Columbus. Two sisters, Mrs. Schaeffer, and Mrs. Mary Hillbrecht also survive. The deceased was for many years an employee of the B. & O. S.-W. shops, where he was an expert tinsmith.

His death will cause a pang of sorrow among a wide circle of friends with whom he was deservedly popular. The funeral arrangements will be announced later.3
