Lena Gertrude Hafer

Lena Gertrude Hafer was born on 3 March 1915 at Lycomic Street, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Walter Henry Hafer and Margaret Elizabeth Roller.2 Lena Gertrude Hafer married, at age 22, Paul Raymond Bower, age 21, son of George J. Bower and Laura E. Kinley, on Thursday, 8 April 1937 at Evangelical United Methodist Church, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Lena Gertrude Hafer died on 18 December 1998 at age 83 years, 9 months and 15 days.1 She was buried on 21 December 1998.
She Lena and Paul were married by Rev. Benjamin G. Hoffman, Evangelical United Methodist Church Lycoming Charge, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
Lena was employed by the Williamsport Area School District for eight years as a substitute cafeteria worker. As of between 1937 and 1998, Lena Gertrude Hafer and Paul Raymond Bower lived at RD #2, Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
