     Matilda Helen Miller was born on 25 September 1874 at Carroll, Greene Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania.3,1 She was the daughter of David Miller Jr. and Sarah Barner. Matilda Helen Miller married, at age 21, Frederick Sholder, age 23, son of Charles Emanuel Sholder and Mary Anna Kinley, on Tuesday, 14 January 1896 at Presbyterian Parsonage, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend Edward P. Morse.3,1,2 Matilda Helen Miller died on 11 November 1960 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 86 years, 1 month and 17 days. She died on Armistance Day of 1960.3,1 She was buried on 15 November 1960 in the Buchanan Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.4,1
     She appeared on the census of 10 June 1880 in the household of David Miller Jr. and Sarah Barner at Greene Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. The marriage announcement for Matilda Helen Miller and Frederick Sholder was published on 16 January 1896 in the Daily Gazette & Bulletin, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. This announcement stated:

     Frederick and Helen were married by Rev. E. P. Morse at the Presbyterian Parsonage in Newberry. They are both living in Old Lycoming Township at this time. Matilda Helen Miller and Frederick Sholder appeared on the census of 7 June 1900 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Matilda Helen Miller and Frederick Sholder appeared on the census of 21 April 1910 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Matilda Helen Miller appears in snapshot circa 1918. This was taken at the home of Fred and Matilida Sholder. She appears in four generation family snapshot circa 1947.
