David Brawley Alexander

     David Brawley Alexander was born on 5 June 1850 at Claiborne County, Tennessee.¹ He first married Barbara Cawood, daughter of John McCrunnel Cawood and Marlena VanBebber, circa 1873. David Brawley Alexander married a second time, at age 39, Esther Charity Carr, age 21, daughter of Benjamin Carr and Sarah Sharp, on Sunday, 11 August 1889. David Brawley Alexander died on 3 March 1920 at Speedwell, Claiborne County, Tennessee, at age 69 years, 8 months and 27 days. He was buried in the Alexander Cemetery, located in Speedwell, Claiborne County, Tennessee.
     He became a widower at the age of 37 with the death of Barbara on 27 October 1887.
