Margaretha Anna Rhote

     Margaretha Anna Rhote was born on 20 February 1851.1 She was the daughter of John Von Roth and Sarah Ann Miller. Margaretha Anna Rhote married, at age 18, Abraham Stabler, age 23, son of Johann George Stäbler and Sarah Elizabeth Waltz, on Thursday, 14 October 1869 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 Margaretha Anna Rhote died on 25 March 1921 at Salladasburg, Mifflin Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 70 years, 1 month and 5 days. Her death occurred on Good Friday.1 She was buried in the Anthony Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
     Margaretha Anna's surname has also been spelled as Rote. She appeared on the census of 4 September 1860 in the household of John Von Roth and Sarah Ann Miller at Mifflin Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.

This Bible originally belonged to Abraham Stabler (1845-1923) being handed down on his death to his son Pierce Albert Stabler (1871-1941) and remained in the Stabler household until his death. At this time his son Frederick Ulmer Stabler (1907-2005) owned the Bible until the time of his death at which time it passed to his son Daniel Leroy Stabler.
