Georgia - Robert Dixon to Mary Bacon McDonald by Trustees

This indenture made the twenty fourth day of October, in the Year of Our Lord, one thousand
seven hundred and ninety two between Robert Dixon of the County of Richmond and state
aforesaid of the one part and John Luddall Dixon and Henry Dixon, Trustees for and in behalf
of the heirs of Mary Bacon McDonald, wife of Henry Moore McDonald of the other part.
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the natural Love and affection which he the said Robert
Dixon bequeath unto Mary Bacon McDonald his daughter and for the settling and assuring
the personal estate herein mentioned to be granted and released unto, and for the uses intents
and purposes and under and subject to the proviso and agreements hereinafter mentioned
expressed and declared and concerning the same and in consideration of the Sum of ten shillings
sterling money to the said Robert Dixon, by the said John Luddall Dixon and Henry Dixon at or
before the sealing and delivery of these warrants in hand well and truly paid the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledge he the said Robert Dixon hath granted bargained, sold and confirmed
unto the said John Luddall Dixon and Henry Dixon trustees as aforesaid, One Negroe Woman
Slave named Barbara and her two children, Alexander and Jensey and all his and their future
increase, and all the Estate rights, title and  interests whatsoever of him the said Robert Dixon
of into or out of the negroe woman slave Barbary and her two children Alexander and Jensey and her
and their future increase or either of them or any part thereof.  To have and to hold all and singular
the Negroes aforesaid unto the said John Luddall Dixon and Henry Dixon their Heirs Executors,
administrators and assigns forever, to and for the use intents and purposes, and under and subject
to the proviso and agreements hereinafter mentioned expressed and declared and concerning the
same, that is to say, to the use and Behoof of the said Mary Bacon McDonald for and during the
term of her natural life so that the Negro woman slave Barbary and her two children
Alexander and Jensey shall not be subject to in any manner to the contracts, judgments, executions
or any other engagements of Henry Moore McDonald the Husband of the said Mary Bacon
McDonald and from and after her decrease to the use and behoof of the said John Luddell Dixon
and Henry Dixon Trustees to the children of the said Mary Bacon McDonald that she now hath
or may hereafter have and bear share and share alike to him and hers and assigns forever and
to and for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever.  Provided always nevertheless and it is hereby
declared and agreed by and between all the said parties to these presents and it is the true intent
and meaning of these presents that if the said Mary Bacon McDonald should die leaving no
issue of her body living then and in such case the negroe woman slave Barbary and her two children
Alexander and Jensey and all her and their future increase shall be equally divided between John L.
Dixon, Henry Dixon, Tilman Dixon, Sarah P. Dixon, Ann Dixon, Caroline M Dixon
and Mariah F. Dixon or the survivors of them and be vested in them and their heirs forever.
Anything herein contained before to the contrary in anywise notwithstanding.

seals the day and year first above written.
