Just a few of my many photos of the flowers in our bush.

This “Double” Sharp Leaved Hepatica found near one of our trails in the spring of 2003

seems to be quite unusual, I can find no reference to one with this many “petals”

“It’s definitely  Hepatica acutiloba. So far as I can see, the stamens have become petaloid,

which is what usually happens in doubling. It is normal for Hepaticas to have up to 12 petaloid sepals.”
