Bleich Family

 

In researching for information on the early settlers on this part of The Klondike I have found the following about the family and have posted it here for the benefit of family researchers.       1. Johann Gottifred Bleich.

 

He had the following children:

 

+           2 M        i.  Frederich Gottifried Bleich was born on 13 Apr 1824.

 

                                       Christian (Johann Gottifred) was born Feb 2 1825

 

 

Second Generation

 

      2. Frederich Gottifried Bleich (Johann Gottifred) was born1,2,3 on 13 Apr 1824 in Prussia.

 

It was during the pastorate of Rev G Schambach, the first resident pastor, that a one acre lot (where St Peters

Lutherine church now stands) was purchased from Frederick Bleich for $500, June 15 1874............

1871 census gives Frederick BLEACH in Sullivan Township, Grey County, Ont, Canada

1881 census gives Frederick BLEAK

 

Frederich married Caroline Mischke. Caroline was born May 28 1826 in Germany.

 

They had the following children:

 

                            Frederich Wilhelm Bleich  was born 5 Jan 1853 and died 13 Jan 1929

                                                Frederich married Frances Gustena Heft or Hoeft,

                                                ( the Heft family had the farm to the west of the Bleich property)

 

                            Julia Bleich was born in 1857

               3 F          i.  Caroline Bleich was born in 1861.

 

+           4 M        ii.  Gotfried Frederick Bleich was born on 14 Mar 1864 and died in 1948.

               5 M       iii.  John Bleich was born in 1866.

               6 F        iv.  Louisa Bleich was born in 1867. (1863?)

 

 


Third Generation

 

      4. Gotfried Frederick Bleich (Frederich Gottifried, Johann Gottifred) was born on 14 Mar 1864 in Ont, Canada. He died in 1948.

 

The Fred Bleich & Augusta Dittmar family settled in Kitchener, Ont in the 1800s and had several sons and

daughters. Gotttred his son, movrd to Holly, Michigan & married Martha Quade and then moved to Florida.

1901 Census gives the Godfried & Augusta and family and father Frederick in Sullivan Township, Grey County,

Ont.

 

Gotfried married Augusta Bertha Dittmar. Augusta was born on 9 Aug 1867 in Germany. She died in 1956.

 

They had the following children:

               7 M        i.  Frederick William Bleich was born on 19 Aug 1888 in Sullivan Township, Grey County, Ont, Canada

 

               8 F         ii.  Mary Bleich was born on 11 Nov 1889 in Sullivan Township, Grey County, Ont, Canada.

               9 M       iii.  Louis Bleich was born on 30 May 1891 in Sullivan Township, Grey County, Ont, Canada. He died in 1936.

 

             10 M       iv.  Gottifried Bleich was born on 4 Mar 1895 in Sullivan Township, Grey County, Ont, Canada. He died in Oct 1976.

             11 M       v.  John Bleich was born on 5 Aug 1896 in Sullivan Township, Grey County, Ont, Canada.

             12 F        vi.  Elsie Bleich was born on 11 Jun 1898 in Sullivan Township, Grey County, Ont, Canada.

             13 F       vii.  Georgina Bleich was born on 15 Jan 1900 in Sullivan Township, Grey County, Ont, Canada.
