My grandparents Samuel Ramonat and Anna Yurgschat
Ramont arrived in the United States in 1897 settling down in Scranton,
Pennsylvania. They came from a small town named Lasdehnan, in the
Kreis of Pilkallen near the Lithuanian border in Konigsberg, East Prussia.
They were of Prussian, Lithuanian and Polish descent. Samuel Ramonat
Jr. and Anna Ramonat traveled with them as they immigrated.
They raised eight children, George, Arthur, Samuel Jr., Anna,
Bertha, Ruth, Albert and Gustave.
During their life the Ramonat's moved to Woodlyn,
Pennsylvania. Woodlyn is situated in the county of Delaware, and
