Canadian Census Sequencer

This sequencer will run through the online census images made available by Library and Archives Canada.

The images are large and the server at Library and Archives Canada can become sluggish if too many images are requested in rapid succession. If an image fails to load, or if new images do not appear approximately every five or six seconds, click in the image to stop the scrolling, wait a short while and then use the manual advance and reverse buttons. This is often necessary if the first or last image in a sequence fails to load.

Sometimes a break in the image sequence exists at Library and Archives Canada. If an image fails to load, and does not refresh on advance or reverse, pay attention to the folio numbers identified for the images to make sure if an image should be available or not.
