| Comments: | We researched many libraries and have a copy of the "Illinois" chpt from Norman and Laura Sarratt's book. My grandfather was born in Nebraska. His parents were Thomas Surratt and Barthena Slagle of Illinois. My grandfather, Elzie Elmer Surratt migrated to California then north to Oregon where he settled. He had three children, Richard, Chester, and Dorothy.
