I've been told that my grandfather was from western NC or union county SC, he married May Wall. My dad has a brother named Harold Clifton Surrett, and also had a half brother named Paul. That is all I know right now. |

I saw a query that referenced your names (including Morgan) and came upon your web-page. How long did it take you to get 17,000 names and how in the world did you get them all???? Your web-site also gave me insites into tracing African American ancestors. The Lewis C. Morgan I am tracing is black, and I, not being of African American ancestory, didn't have a clue on where to go with this. Thanks - and your research was extremely impressive!!! |
