an island and opposite the lead mines tract of 1,400 acres.
Sometimes it is called "Lead Mine Mill Creek".

This indenture made the twenty fourth day of August in the
Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & eighty three
between WILLIAM QUILLION of Surry County and State of North
Carolina Farmer and CATHERINE HIS WIFE of the one part, and
BENJAMIN BONNER of Granville County and Same State, Farmer,
of the other part Witnesseth that the said WILLIAM QUILLIN
and CATHERINE HIS WIFE for and in consideration of the just
& full sum of Sixty five pounds to them in hand paid, the
Receipt whereof they the said WILLIAM QUILLIN and CATHERINE
HIS WIFE do hereby acknowledge and themselves fully satisfied
contented and paid, have granted bargained & sold Released
aliened released and confirmed and as by these presents
grant bargain sell release alien released and confirmed
unto the said above mentioned BENJAMIN BONNER his heirs
and assigns forever, a certain Tract of Land lying in the
County aforesaid and running as follows, beginning at a red
oak, running East thirty six Chains, crossing the fork of
"Blews Creek" to a red Oak, thence a Line agreed on with
TEAQUE QUILLIN, running North twenty Degrees East twenty
eight to a white oak, thence East three chains to a hickory,
thence North twenty five chains to a post Oak, thence West
crossing the creek aforesaid forty eight chains to a post
Oak, and then South to the Beginning including two hundred
acres of Land Swamp and Branch Cripple, be the same more or
less, together with all and singular the roads, buildings,
Gardens Orchards Meadows swamps Offices, Pastures Fields
Fences woods underwoods timbers water ways waters tentaments
Deeds writings Quit Rents profits privileges Hereditaments
and Appurtenances whosoever thereunto belonging or in any
wise appertaining to have and to hold th e said Land & premises
hereby granted unto the said BENJAMIN BONNER his heirs and
assigns to the only proper use and behalf of him the said
BENJAMIN BONNER his heirs and assigns for ever, under the
yearly Quit Rents now and or hereafter to become due to the
Chief Lord, or Lords of the fee thereof, and the said
WILLIAM QUILLIN and CATHERINE HIS WIFE and their heirs and
assigns against themselves the said WILLIAM QUILLIN and
CATHERINE HIS WIFE and their heirs and against all and every
other person or persons whatsoever Lawfully claiming or
hereafter claim by from or under them or either of them shall
and will warrant and for ever defend by these Presents.
In Witness whereof the said WILLIAM QUILLIN and CATHERINE
HIS WIFE have here unto set their hands and affixed their
Seals the year and day first above written.

I Benjamin Bonner of the State and District aforesaid
planter being in a low and weak state of health though sound in mind, memory, and understanding
do make this my last will and Testament (revoking all other wills and
instruments by me made) in manner and form following --
First, I will and desire that I may be decently buried in a suitable place.
Secondly, I will to my beloved wife
Frances Bonner my negro man Dick, a mare, saddle and bridle, one cow and calf,
first choice, feather bed and furniture, six hogs, one ewe and lamb and her
dwelling with her son Briant her life time if she so chooses to live with
him and to have such a part of this crop this winter as well as her stock.
Thirdly, to my son Dempsey Bonner,
I will my wagon and hindgeers, one brown horse and one cow and calf.
Forthly to my daughter Delitha Merriman,
I will a piece of land lying on the right hand of the path leading from Nathan Byars
to the furnace, one young horse matchless and one cow and calf, one feather bed,
the land bounded by Nathan Byars, Silas Yarboro and Wilson Nesbitt supposed to be
one hundred acres more or less.
Fifthly, to my son Briant Bonner,
I will my lands and plantation where I now live, he is to take care of his
Mother as long as she pleases to live with him and at her death or departure
he is clear, one sorrell mare white main and tail, one cow and calf, and at
the death of his Mother, if she continues until then with him he must keep
what property she may have.
All the balance of the cattle, sheep, hogs and other property remaining to be
equally divided amongst my three children
except so much household and Kitchen furniture as will be necessary for my
wife and this I do declare to be my last will and testament as witness my
hand and seal this twenty ninth day of July one thousand eight hundred and fourteen.
