Yalobusha Co., MS. was created in 1833, from the Choctaw Cession, 1830 The County Seat is Coffeyville, MS. 38922 and Water Valley, MS. 38965. It is located in the Northcentral part of the state. Bounded by Panola & Lafayette Co.'s on the North; Calhoun Co., on the East; Grenada Co. on the South; with Tallahatchie Co. on the West. (First Census 1840; Co. Cir. Court at Coffeyville has m. rec; Clerk Chan Court has div, pro, Civ, & Land Records. Clerk Chan. Court Water Valley has div, pro, civ. & Land Records.)
