I, William A. Bradley, of the town of Portland, County of Sumner, and State of Tennessee being of sound mind, memory and understanding hereby revoke all former wills made by me and make, publish, and declare the following as my last will and testament:
First, I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as may be conveniently done.
Second, I give and bequeath unto my wife Ellen Bradley all my household goods of every kind and what horses and vehicles we may have at my death.
Third, I give and bequeath unto my said wife Ellen Bradley the income from my One Thousand ($1000.00) Dollars stock in the Portland Bank of Portland, Tenn. and the use and benefit of my house and lot in Portland Tenn. during her life or widowhood, and at her death or marriage this property to be divided between my brothers and sisters or their heirs as hereinafter stated.
Fourth, I give and bequeath unto the Sarver heirs, brothers and sisters of my first wife, Five Hundred ($500.00) stock in The Independent Life Insurance Co. of Nashville, Tenn, this stock to be shared equally between Gordon Sarver, Jack Sarver, heirs of James Sarver and Mary Sarver Deasy.
Fifth, I give and bequeath unto Bridget Odell One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars to be paid her in cash at my death if she is living.
Sixth, I give and bequeath unto James Hinton all my clothes and wearing apparel of all kind.
Seventh, I give and bequeath unto my brothers and sisters all the rest
and residue of my estate both personal and real estate to be divided between
them as follows:
To my brother John E. Bradley I give and bequeath one third of all the rest
and residue of my estate both personal and real or to his heirs, and the
remaining two

thirds of the rest and residue of my estate both personal and real to be divided equally between my other brothers and sisters or their heirs.
Eighth, I will and desire that at any time the executors of this will during the life time or widowhood of my wife Ellen Bradley and with her approval see fit or think best to sell the house and lot in Portland and place the proceeds of same on interest for the use and benefit of my wife.
Ninth, I appoint my brother John E. Bradley and W. C. Austin executors of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereto subscribed my name the 31st day of October
in the year of our Lord 1917.

We whose names are hereto subscribed do certify that on the 31st day of
October 1917 William A. Bradley the testator subscribed his name to this
instrument in our presence and in the presence of each of us and at the same
time in our presence and hearing, declared the same to be his last will and
testament, and requested us, and each of us, to sign our names hereto as
witnesses to the execution hereof, which we hereby do in the presence of
the testator and of each other, on the said date and write opposite to our
names our respective places of residence.

A typewritten paper writing dated Oct. 31st, 1917, purporting to be the last
will and testament of William A. Bradley, deceased, was this

day produced in open court for probate, when the same was duly proven by the oaths of R. Dick Moore and Geo. W. Moore, subscribing witnesses thereto, when the same was admitted to probate and ordered recorded as the last will and testament of the same William A. Bradley, deceased.
And it appearing that John E. Bradley and W. C. Austin, are named in the
will as Executors thereof, and it further appearing that the said W. C. Austin
is dead, thereupon the said John E. Bradley appeared in Open Court and accepted
the trust, and together with his sureties R. Dick Moore and Geo. W. Moore
in open Court entered into and acknowledged their bond payable to the state
of Tennessee in the penal sum of Ten Thousand ($10,000.00) dollars, conditioned
as the law directs, when he was duly qualified and letters Testamentary ordered
issued to him.

W. A. Bradley is buried in the Maple Hill Cemetery with wife Magnolia Sarver
Bradley (12 Sep 1827 - 20 Oct 1913). William's tombstone list only
his birth date - 16 Oct 1853.
