The Sumner County Poor Farm was a self-supporting county sponsored operation which housed those who were; elderly, sick or otherwise down on their luck.
On an annual basis the caretaker in charge would report the condition of the Poor Farm crop and livestock yields for the previous years. The report include names of the adults, children and approximate ages.
