Age 81.  Saturday evening, March 30, 1974 at Highland Hospital.  Survived by wife, Mrs. Zula Groves Caudill, two daughters, Miss Edith Caudill, Cambridge, Mass., Mrs. Cappie Ware, Sparta, Tenn; three sons, W. D. Caudill, Portland, (and two other sons that are still living), five sisters, Mrs. Clara Dye, Portland, Mrs. Rebecca Ayers, Urbana, Ill., Mrs. Alma Smith, Columbus, Ind., Mrs. Elizabeth Wilbur, Portland, Mrs. Rachel Durham, Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, Tillman Caudill, West Point, Miss.  Mr. Caudill was an elder of the Portland Church of Christ and retired rural mail carrier.  Remains are at Wilkinson and Wiseman Funeral Home, Portland. Funeral services 2 pm Monday at Portland Church of Christ conducted by James Harris.  Interment Maple Hills Cemetery.
