Mrs. Jane Walker - Mrs. Jane Walker, age 80 years, died Tuesday night, April 5th, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Horace Kemper, on the Long Hollow Road. Her death resulted from pneumonia of which she had been ill for several days. She was the widow of the late Mr. Matthew Walker, a native of Mississippi. The deceased was born and reared in this county. She was a daughter of Mr. William Douglass, a pioneer citizen of Sumner County. The deceased was a member of the Primative Baptist Church and was a lady of excellent Christian character. She is survived by five sons and one daughter as follows: Sam Walker of Cottontown, Larry, Wylie, Kleber and Ed Walker of Nashville, and Mrs. Kemper of this county. There survives also one sister, Mrs. Sue Nuckolls of Station Camp. Funeral services were conducted at the residence at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon by Rev. A. C. Parker. Burial was at the Gallatin Cemetery with services at the grave by Rev. L. S. Sedberry.
