Services for Agnes Arterburn Short, 79, of Gallatin will be at 10 a. m. today at Donoho-Legge-Newby Funeral Home with Rev. Delwyn Fryer officiating.  Burial will be in Old Brush Cemetery in Portland.  William L. Witherspoon, Thomas A. Witherspoon, Burnell Cole, Woodrow Chaffin, Charles Hibbett, and Joe Guild will serve as pallbears.  She died Saturday at Brandywood Nursing Home.  A native of Tennessee, she was born April 22, 1906, the daughter of Tollie Arterburn and Sarah Hester Arterburn.  A retired employee of General Shoe, she was married to Cecil Short.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Ray (Bo) Short of Salt Lake City, Utah, one brother, Odell Arterburn, of Madison, three sisters, Stella Guill of White House, Jessie Pond of Cottontown, and Pearl Cole of Nashville; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.     (Photo of Cecil and Agnes Arterburn Short)
