Saturday morning - , September 12, 1953 at 1 o'clock at her home, Dry Creek Road, Goodlettsville, Mrs. Laura Kizer McMurtry, aged 74 years. Survived by husband, C. A. McMurtry, Goodlettsville; daughters Lillia Mae McMurtry, Goodlettsville, and Mrs. Marshall Owens, Nashville; sons, Max and Irwin Reynolds, Nashville and Ira C. McMurtry , Madison, 9 grandchildren, brother, R. G. Kizer, Goodlettsville. Remains are at the Cole & Garrett Funeral Home where funeral services will be conducted Monday morning Sept. 14 at 10:30 o'clock by the Rev. L. E. McCoy assisted by Elder Hollis Wood. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers. Interment Spring Hill Cemetery. Cole & Garrett Funeral Directors.
