Cornelius Johnson Jr., 83, Route 3, Portland died Monday at Sumner Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be today at 3:30 p. m. at Wilkinson and Wiseman Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Patton officiating. He was a retired farmer and a native of Sumner County. He is survived by four sons, Thurman Johnson, Horace Johnson, and Jim Johnson, all of Portlnad. Harold Johnson, Gallatin; two daughters, Mrs. Young Woodward and Yvonne Phillips, both of Portland; 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Note from submitter: Cornelius Johnson was the son of Cornelius S. Johnson and Emmeline Frances Short. He was born on July 16, 1897 and was married to Della Ann Ray. Obit for Della Ann Johnson.
