Services for Leslie D. Durrett, 78, retired farmer of Cottontown, will be
at 10 a. m. today at Wilkinson and Wiseman Funeral Home, Portland, Tenn.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, White House, Tenn. Durrett
died Tuesday (Oct. 31) in Highland Hospital, Portland. Survivors include
his widow, Mrs. Cora McMurtry Durrett; a daughter, Mrs. James D. Johnson,
Portland; three sons, Leon, Calvin, and Earnest Durrett, Cottontown; 10
grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Leslie Davis Durrett was the son of Francis E. Durrett and Ann Elizabeth M. Ackerman. He was born 1 November 1889 in Robertson County, TN. He married Cora B. McMurtry on 24 November 1915. Photo of Leslie Davis Durrett.
