Mrs. H. D. Denning
Funeral services were held from the home here for Mrs. H. D. Denning, aged 71, who died Thursday morning, June 2nd. J. W. Estes, C. H. Sutin and J. Collins officiated and burial was at Portland Cemetery. Mrs. Denning was a member of the Methodist church.
She is survived by her husband Dr. H. D. Denning, two sons, H. C. Denning of Cave City, KY and Willie Denning of Massachusetts, and a daughter Mrs. Narcissis Shreve of Bowling Green, KY.
FUNERAL RITES FOR DR. H. D. DENNING
Funeral services for Dr. Henry D. Denning, 91, who died at his home here Monday following an illness of several months, were held at the local Methodist church Tuesday afternoon with the Revs. Wendell Ensor and John W. Estes officiating.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. ?. B. Williams, two sons, Henry C. Denning of Owensboro, KY and W. M. Denning of Portland, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Dr. Denning, a native of the 13th civil district, graduated from the Vanderbilt University Medical School in the class of 1887. He practiced his profession in and around Portland for about 35 years.
He was buried with Masonic honors at Maple Hill Cemetery. Wilkinson Bros. & Wiseman in charge.
