Bethpage, - Sept. - 6 - Andrew Johnson Breeding, former postmaster and esteemed citizen of this place, died at his home near here Thursday afternoon, after having been seriously ill for the past three weeks. His death was due to kidney trouble, from which he had suffered for a number of years. Mr. Breeding was a devout member of the Methodist Church, a member of the Bethpage Masonic Lodge No. 521, and a man of splendid character. His kindness to the unfortunate was very marked, as during his lifetime he had taken into his home at different time six orphans, whom he had cared for as his own. He was twice married, and one daughter, Mrs. Jennie Hicks, of Nashville, survives. His last wife, who was Miss Elizabeth White, survives. He is also survived by one brother and a sister. The burial will be held at the Bethpage Cemetery.
