BAILEY BLANKENSHIP

Two weeks ago Tuesday Bailey Blankenship, a 61-year-old farmer of the Haysville section fell from a wagon load of wood and sustained injuries to his neck which left him paralyzed. He was carried to a Scottsville hospital where it was found that his neck was broken. He died there at 11 o'clock Tuesday night of this week after suffering for two weeks. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Thula Blankenship; six children, Ray Blankenship, Mrs. Maude Understellar, Mrs. Claude Price, Mrs. Edell Reeves and Mrs. Frances Myers, all of Cincinnati; and Jackie Blankenship, residing with his mother; two brothers, Jeff Blankenship of the Haysville community, and Wilson Blankenship of Mt. Union; and two sisters, Mrs. Benton Hanes of Westmoreland, and Mrs. Buck Rose of Alton Hill. Burial will be made this (Thursday) afternoon in Haysville Cemetery, although funeral arrangements have not been completed. He was a professed Christian, although he was not identified with any church.
