Here is a photo of my great grandfather and grandmother. Simon Benitez Melendez and Epifania Huertas Velez from Vieques Puerto Rico. The boy istheir eldest son Felipe Benitez. The photo was taken around 1910.
Simon was born circa 1875 Simon was the Mayordomo of a sugar cane farm in Vieques. He was a well known and respected man in Vieques.
Simon and Epifania had 8 children.
Felipe, Angela, Petra, Santiago, Eugenio, Tomas (picin), Epifanio, Tomasito.
