National Genealogical Society
NGS Newsletter Competition

| PRHGS, as a member of the National Genealogical
Society, is entitled to participate in their annual newsletter competition.
We did just that at the end of 1998 and we are happy to report that we
were awarded Honorable Mention - Major Genealogical Societies. Two
back-to-back issues of El Coqui de Ayer were submitted, Volume 3, Numbers
3 and 4 (1998). I would personally like to thank all of the authors
who were part of those two issues and all of our issues of El Coqui because
those two issues are representative of the information that is published
every two months. I hope that I will keep receiving great articles
from you in the future.
