Alexander Blue

The death of Alexander Blue occurred at the Kings County Memorial Hospital, Montague, December 18, 1974. Alex, as he was familiarly known, suffered from the effects of a stroke about two years ago.

He was born in Little Sands on August 7, 1895, where he lived about all of his life. He was the son of the late Angus Blue and Margaret (MacNeill) Blue.

He leaves to mourn the following: his wife Lilly (Creed) Blue, one daughter Lila- Mrs. Ethan Garrett, Charlottetown, a granddaughter Shawna, his sister, Mrs. Malcolm MacPherson, Wood Islands and a brother George H. of Little Sands.

He will be greatly missed in the community and especially in the home where he was loved by his family and friends.

The funeral was held from the Little Sands United Church on Decmber 20, 1974. The service was conducted by Rev. Raymond Gillis assisted by Rev. Jown Powell. He was laid to rest in Little Sands Cemetery.

At the Sunset Lodge, Charlottetown, Sunday, March 8, 1998, of Lilly T. Blue (nee Creed) of Sunset Lodge, formerly of Little Sands and Albion, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Alexander Blue. Loving mother of Lila (Ethan ) Garrett of Charlottetown. Dear grandmother of Shawna Garrett, Japan; Greg and Ryan Garrett of Charlottetown.Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Clara, Mary, Helen, Pearl, Laura and brothers James Henry and Victor. Resting at Ferguson's Montague Funeral home until Tuesday at noon, then to Murray River Baptist Church for funeral service at 2 pm. Interment in Little Sands Cemetery. Visitation Monday 2-4 and 709 pm. If so desired, memorials to the Sunset Lodge or the Little Sands Cemetery Fund would be appreciated.
