"Ivan A. Blue
Family and friends of Ivan Blue were saddened by his passing on April 10, 1980 at his late residence in Hopefield.
He was born in Hopefield on March 4, 1930, the son of Christine Blue and the late Alexander Blue.
Ivan will be greatly missed in the home and by many to whom his able assistance was so willingly given whenever the need arose. He was held in high esteem by all who knew him. This was made evident by the large number of visitors who called at the funeral home and the largely attended funeral.
Left to cherish the memories of a loving husband and father are his wife, Charlesena, daughters, Beverley, Charlottetown, Marilyn, Mrs. Keith Lipton, Charlottetown, and Cathy at home. Two sons, Alvin, Lower Sackville, N.S. and Alec at home. One daughter-in-law Margie and one son-in-law Keith. Two grandchildren Christopher and Bonnie Ann, also his mother, Christine(Dean).
The funeral was held at the Presbyterian Church, Caledonia. The service was conducted by Tomas J. Kay, B.D. and Rev. Lonnie Atkinson. During the service Johnny Bears sang No Night There. The Old Rugged Cross and Good Night and Good Morning were sung by the choir. Organist was Mrs. Allan Cameron.
Pallbeaers were Leon MacPhee, Alden Blue, Lester MacLean, Daniel Fraser, Raymond Livingston and Clarence Whiteway. Flowerbearers were Barry Whiteway, Kevin Whiteway, Wade Buell, and Kevin Blue.
Interment took place in Little Sands Cemetry"
