"Smith- At Little Sands, PEI, May 8, 1922, Euphemia MacNeill, widow of the late Angus Smith, age 66 years. Three sons and two daughters are left to mourn."(EP May 17, 1922)

"There passed away at Little Sands on Monday morning, May 8th, Euphemia MacNeill, widow of the late Angus Smith.

Mrs. Smith had been in failing health for the past few years, and despite the best medical attendance, and the loving care of her family she passed away at the age of 66 years.

She lived a true consistant christian life, and in the community where her whole life was spent she will be greatly missed as her skill and kindness were ever shown to those in sickness and trouble.

She leaves to mourn three sons and two daughters, namely Donald in Regina, Sask.; Ewen with the Mounted Police Force in Brandon, Manitoba; Malcolm at home; Mrs. Nelson Swimm, Arnold, N.S.; and Mary G. at home. A son James was killed in France in 1918.

She also leaves to mourn two brothers and two sisters, James MacNeill, San Francisco, California, A.B. MacNeill, Little Sands, Mrs. Donald MacRae, Flat River and Sarah MacNeill, Little Sands.

The funeral was held on Wednesday and was largely attended. The service at the house and grave were taken by her pastor, Rev. M.A. MacDonald. Interment was in little Sands Cemetery."
