Charlotte Smith

"There passed away at Hopefield, PEI on Sabbath morning, April 24th, 1927, Charlotte, dearly beloved daughter of Mr and Mrs A. D. Smith of that place at the early age of fourteen years.

Deceased was taken ill on Friday, April 15th with pleuro-pneumonia, and during her illness she received the best medical care and tender nursing of loved ones, but God Who doeth all things, called her home.

She was greatly loved by everyone, a favourite in school, a bright pupil and a loving companion; her dear name precious with many acts of kindness will long be remembered. So she passed away to her Heavenly inheritance in childlike simplicity, trusting in Jesus.

She leaves to mourn a sorrowing father and mother, and two brothers Wilfred and James, for all of whom the deepest sympathy is felt.

Sleep on beloved, sleep and take thy rest,
Lay down thy head upon thy Saviour's breast,
We loved thee well, but Jesus loves thee best. Good Night.
