Various newspapers have different layouts for their obits.
A “death listing” type might be:

It matters little where the paper drops in the PGCS code, just
so that it is within the obit.
As you see from the examples above, almost without exception, the PGCS
code can be inserted without adding
to the length of the obituary. Remember: even 4-point type is okay,
if required.
