A further report from the paper appear on 13 February 1846 CORONER'S INQUEST - The following inquests have been held by W. HICHENS, Esq., coroner, since our last report: on the 3rd instant, in the parish of Ludgvan, on the body of MARTHA CURNOW, aged about 23 years, who committed suicide on the 1st at her father's house, in that parish, by hanging herself,. It appeared that a young man, of the name of RICHARD CURNOW, who had been paying attention to the deceased for some time, returned to Ludgvan on the preceding Saturday, having been working for some time in a distant part of the county. He admitted upon the inquiry, that he had intimated to the deceased on Sunday his intention to put an end to the intimacy, and as no other cause could be assigned for the act, it was naturally attributed to that circumstance.
