THE HAWKEN FAMILY
This family has been one of the most difficult I have researched
due to the variations in the spelling of the surname. I have encountered
Hockin, Hocken, Hawkin, Hawking, Hocking and Hoskin. I have settled on
Hawken as that is the name given by Miriam on her marriage to Samuel Lane
in 1877. I have used the spelling of the surname as it was recorded in the parish register and census returns |
