I Tilman Peevy of said County and State do hereby make my Last will and Testament in Manner and form following that is to say.

1st - I desire that my Executors herein after named shall immediately after my decease take and sell at private sale enough of my perishable property to pay and satisfy my just debts and funeral expenses. Should the perishable part of my property prove insufficient for the above purposes, then I desire that my executors may sell enough of my real estate and out of the money arising there from pay and satisfy such of my just debts as my remain unpaid.

2nd - After the payment of my debts and funeral expenses, I give my wife Annie Peevy the balance of all my estate both real and personal for and during the term of her natural life and after her decease, I give the same to my children herin after mentioned to be divided amongst them as follows and to be enjoyed by them forever.

3rd - I desire that after the decease of my wife Annie Peevy my executors shall sell all my estate both real and personal of what nature or kind ever it may be, at private sale according to the best of their judgment thereby saving the unnecessary expenses of private sales, and out of the money arising there from,
I give and bequeath to my son Matthew B. Peevy in trust for my two grandsons Bennett H. Edmonds and John William Edmonds two hundred dollars for their benefit to be used by him in raising them and educating them.

4th - I give and bequeath unto my son Gilbert Washington Peevy one dollar.

5th - I give and bequeath unto my daughter Angelina one dollar.

6th - I give unto my daughter Elizabeth Jane one dollar.

7th - I give unto my daughter Minerva Catherine dollar.

8th - I give unto my daughter Francis Adeline dollar.

9th - And not forgetting but being mindfull of the kindness and patience with which my daughter Abigail wife of John C. Betten and my son Matthew B. Peevy have stood by me and ministered to my wants during my sickness and suffering,
I hereby give unto them the balance of all my estate both real and personal moneys arising there by virtue of(page folded under) by my executors to be equally divided between my said daughter Margaret Abigail and son Matthew B. Peevy which I give to them, their heirs, executors, administrators and their assigns forever.

10th - And lastly, I do hereby appoint and constitute my son Matthew B. Peevy and my son in law John C. Betten executors of this last will and testament, and I do hereby revoke any and all other and former wills or testaments set by my hand this 19th day of December 1876.
