Connie Mae Peavey, 66, Chattanooga died Wednesday, March 15, 2006. A native of Atlanta, she had lived in Chattanooga the past 14 years.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Michael Peavey, Chattanooga; daughters, Runea Owens, Roxanne Howard, Kathy Denney, all of Cleveland, TN, Stacey Pursley, Chattanooga; son, Harold Sparkman, Jr., Andalusia, AL; brothers, Jack Hayes, Tunnel Hill, GA, Tony Babb, Warrenville, SC; sisters, Paulette Henderson, Locust Grove, GA, Nancy Cumbie, Atlanta; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday in the chapel with Neil McGill officiating. Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

Mrs. Wanda Jean Peavey Smith was born November 9, 1951 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Emanuel Peavey, Jr. and Annie Lee Williams Peavey. She departed this earthly life on Friday, October 20, 2006 at her residence.
She was a longtime and former employee of Memorial Hospital and was a member of Wesley Chapel Christian Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Emanuel Peavey, Jr.; sister, Gloria Ann Peavey.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her loving and devoted husband, Luther Smith, Jr.; two daughters, Demetria L. Smith and Frances Smith; two grandchildren; mother, Annie Lee Williams Peavey; brother, Alfonzo Peavey; two sisters, Evangelist Brenda Benn and Raenetha M. Walker; uncle, A.D. Williams; two aunts, Agnes Williams and Leila Baldwin; three brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; several nieces; nephews; cousins; special friends, Gloria Jean Jones, Barbara Waters, Patricia Yon, Cynthia Fears and many other relatives and friends.
Internment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

GLORIA S. PEAVY, 60, of Memphis, retired IRS tax examiner, died May 21, 2011. She was born April 12, 1951. Visitation from 5-8 p.m., Friday, May 27, and services at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 28, all at M.J. Edwards Funeral Home, 4445 Stage Road, with burial in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
She leaves her husband, Calvin Peavy; one son, Donnell Peavy; one sister, Shirley Ison; one brother, James Webber; and three grandchildren, Courtney, Donovan and Calvin.

Wilburn L. Peavy, 55, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, in Chattanooga. He was employed at Atlas Paper Co.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Warb and Evia Peavy; and brother, Warb "Butch" Peavy Jr. Survivors include sons, Fredrick Peavy Phinizey, Robert Cory Phinizey and Maurice La Royce Phinizey; and daughter, Robyn Keyonna Phinizey; longtime companion of 14 years, Jean Phinizey; sisters, Pernella Lee, of Chicago, Cula Cleta Goodwin and Marvis McKeldin, of Chattanooga; brother, Major C. Peavy; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, in the chapel with the Rev. Richard L. Hines officiating. Interment in Highland Cemetery. The body will lie in state after noon today with the family receiving friends from 78 p.m today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave.

Miss Betty Ann Pevey, 70, born on July 3, 1940 retired bookkeeper for Loomis, Incorporated and resident of the Spring Hill Community, died Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Williamson Medical Center. Born in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Howard Pevey, Lloyd Odom and Madge Blackburn Odom.
She is survived by cousins, Rebecca (James) Tolene of Knoxville, Carol (Bryant) Barron of Liberty, Mississippi, Fred (Linda) Lindsey of Minor Hill, Andy (Pam) Chunn of Pulaski, Gail Brown of Franklin, Toby Chunn of Columbia, and Roxanne (Richard) Jewell of Raleigh, North Carolina; an aunt, Wilma Odom of Lawrenceburg; uncle and aunt, Charles and Vera Odom of Lawrenceburg; Louisiana cousins, Cheryl Bennett, Lydia Fesbender, Howard Bennett, Paul Bennett, Jr., Albert Rhodes, and Jane Rhodes; and special friends, John and Kim Waldrum of Columbia.

Mr. Pevy was born Nov. 17, 1952, in Berrien County to the late Howard Earl Pevy and Ellen Frances Fountain Pevy. He was a laborer and attended the New River Free Holiness Church.
Survivors are his wife, Sue Ellen Clark Pevy, Ray City; one daughter, Teresa Smith, Hahira; three sons, Damon Lee Guy, Sparks, Jerry Don Mueller and Ronnie Edward Mueller, both of Norman, Okla.; three sisters and brother-in-law, Martha and James Earl Humbers, Homerville, Darlene Starling, Pearson, and Jo Ellen Walker, Valdosta; three grandchildren, Chad Smith, Hahira, Tyler Lee Guy and Trey Lansing Guy, Norman, Okla.; and several other relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Pevy will be held Monday, May 29, 2006, at 11 a.m. from the New River Free Holiness Church, near Nashville TN.
Interment will be in the New River Church Cemetery.
Mr. Pevy will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Mr. Pevy will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services. Roundtree Funeral Home, 240 East Dame Avenue, Homerville, Ga. 31634.
