Come the 13th of next month she would have celebrated her 70th Wedding Anniversary with her loving and devoted husband, Horace C. Peavy. For almost all of their nearly 70 years together, the couple lived in Port Wentworth, separated only during World War II and the Korean Conflict, and united throughout their married life with their home church, Port Wentworth Methodist.

Eunice Peavy was dedicated to her Lord and Savior, her husband, her family and her church. As a lifetime homemaker, she was a tireless worker at what makes a family run smoothly - loving attention - as "Darlin'," "Mama," and "Nanny." She also expressed her care to her extended family, and her church family. Eunice was a giver, having ministered with her time, her talent, her resources, her nursing, her love.
