1865 - October 24. Salome Heinely (widow) to widow Frances Pevy, $90 for 91 acres. Northeast by 50 acres now in possession of Salome Heinely but given to Elizabeth Pevey being remainder of the original survey granted to Abiel Heidt (blank date) sold to John Snider, Henry Pevy, and given to Elizabeth Pevy. James Peavy was born about 1840 in Screven County, Georgia, and died 12 December 1863 in Effingham County, Georgia. He married Frances Hinely 16 April 1854 in Effingham County, Georgia, daughter of Solomon Hinely and Hannah Arnsdorff. She was born 25 April 1838, and died 21 November 1910.

Notes for James Peavy:
From Screven County - moved to Effingham in 1850's. James is the ancestor of mose all the Pevey's in Effingham County, Georgia today, particularly from around Guyton. Died in service during the Civil War.

2003 - Buried at Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, on the property of Lawrence Rahn on Little McCall Road, just a short distance off GA Hwy 119 near Guyton, Georgia. This is the site of the Old Antioch Church prior to its relocation of Guyton, Georgia. Source: Effingham County, Georgia Cemetery Book. Date of birth on tombstone was born 4/25/1840.
