Funeral service for Annette G. Pavey, 82, Blaine, took place Dec. 20 at Glen Cary Lutheran Church, Ham Lake.

Pavey died Dec. 9, 2007. She was born March 9, 1925. She operated Pavey Contracting in St. Louis Park for 35 years.

She is survived by her children, Patricia (Patrick) Carey, Katherine Rucker, Robert (Rita), Ronald (Michelle), Randy (Chris); 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ruby and Orrice.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Anna Erickson; sister, Gladys; two infant sisters; son, Richard; and husband, Walter.

Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel.

PAVEY, GEORGE THOMAS Jr.
1923 - 2007

STOCKDALE, MN

George Thomas Pavey Jr. passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at the age of 84 years and 6 days.

He was born to Lillian (Butler) and George Thomas Pavey Sr. on Sept. 21, 1923, in Minneapolis, Minn.

Surviving him are his wife, Lois Pavey and sons Gregory Pavey and wife Barbara of Stockdale, Jeffrey Pavey and wife Roxie of Medina, Minn., and Michael Pavey of Licking, Minn.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Thomas John Pavey of Osseo, Minn., and Caitlin Pavey of Mora, Minn.; a brother, Donald Pavey and wife Lorraine of Kansas City, Kansas; and a sister, JoAnn Herman and husband Kenny of Brooklyn Park, Minn.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in St. Paul, Minn.

PEAVEY, BURNELLE ELVERA LAVERNE

ROBBINSDALE, MN

Burnelle Elvera LaVerne (Ostrom) Peavey, 89, formerly of Robbinsdale, passed away on July 27, 2009. A quiet, gentle soul has, by the grace of God, gone home with her Lord and Savior to be reunited with her beloved husband of 57 years Emmett (Frank) Peavey; mother Mildred Johnson Ostrom; father Carl A. Ostrom; step mother Oliva Ostrom; brothers Lyonell and Kenneth Ostrom; grandparents Andrew and Anna Johnson; and beloved early childhood caregivers and grandparents Axel and Josephine Ostrom.

Born in Forest Lake June 22, 1920, she was a 1938 graduate of North High School in Mpls. Burnelle married Emmett Peavey Nov. 15, 1941. During WWII, she was employed with Sears and Roebuck Co. while husband Emmett served with the Navy. She was a dedicated and loving stay at home mother beginning in 1946, and in 1961 was accepted for a position as a Cook's Helper for the Robbinsdale School District 281. Burnelle and Emmett retired in 1984 to enjoy time with each other, their family, and travel.

Burnelle is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Marlene and Thomas Roden, Colleen and Nicholas Smith, Denise and Ray Sheeley, Cheryl and Patrick Martin; son and daughter- in-law Robert and Donna Peavey; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister Phyllis McKinney; sisters-in-law Marjorie Ostrom and Freddie Ostrom; many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial 10am Thursday at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, 6 Interlachen Road, Hopkins.

Visitation Tonight (Wed) from 5 to 8 pm at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 39th and W. Broadway, and again one hour prior to Mass Thursday at church. Private interment Fort Snelling. Gearty-Delmore 763-537-4511

Helen G. Peavey, age 80, of Bloomington, MN died peacefully at her home on Dec. 19, 2005. Preceded in death by husband, James.

She will be deeply missed by children, Jan (Richard) Hanson and James R. Peavey; grandchildren, Kristen (David) Goligowski and Bridget Hanson; great-grandchildren, Ben, Ellie, Jasie and Gigi; brother, Joe Gysler and many other relatives and friends.

Hanson, Jan (Peavey) age 61, of Little Falls, MN, formerly of Bloomington, passed away Friday, Oct 1, 2010 at her residence.

Memorial Service will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday, Oct. 5 at First Lutheran Church in Little Falls.

Jan Y. Peavey was born on Nov. 21, 1948 in Minneapolis to the late James and Helen (Gysler) Peavey. She is survived by her husband, Rick; daughters, Kristen (David) Goligowski, and Bridget Hanson; grandchildren, Ben, Ellie, Jasie, and Gigi; and brother, Jim Peavey.

PEAVEY, JOHN �JACK�

WINONA, MN

John "Jack" Peavey, 74, died Monday, April 25, 2011, at the Sauer Memorial Home in Winona, Minn. John was born Aug. 9, 1936, in Elmhurst, Ill., to Henry and Margaret (Zachow) Peavey. After graduating from high school in St. Petersburg, Fla., John furthered his education at the University of Illinois and IIT, where he studied engineering. He served in the Army from March 1958 until being honorably discharged in February 1964.

John was united in marriage to Karen Johansson on Oct. 7, 1961, in Oak Park, Ill. He worked as a structural engineer for many years in the Chicagoland area. For the last eight years, John and Karen had been residing in Winona, Minn. In his younger years, he achieved the honor of Eagle Scout, played football, began collecting stamps, and was a lifeguard on the beaches of Chicago. John was a 31 Degree Mason, Past Master of the Deerfield Lodge, and a member of the Glenbrook Shrine Club and the Winona Masonic Lodge. His life as a Mason was his passion. Upon retirement, he was able to enjoy time with his grandchildren and continued to collect guns, swords and knives. Every day also included a moment of Ritz crackers and Skippy peanut butter.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Karen; four children, Theresa (Paul) Lueck of Winona, Minn., Michael peavey of Pecos, N.M., Christina Peavey of Wheeling, Ill., and Robert (Ann) Peavey of Huntley, Ill.; grandchildren, Adam, Megan and Gretchen Lueck of Winona, Benjamin Peavey of Huntley, Ill.; sister, Janice (Wayne) Lassiter of San Mateo, Calif.; and two brothers, Henry Peavey of Morton Grove, Ill., and Dennis (Dits) Peavey of Carmel, Calif. John was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William; and sister, Jean.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service-Hansen Goodview Chapel, 3480 Service Drive, Goodview, Minn. A flag presentation and military honors will be conducted by the American Legion to begin the visitation at 4 p.m. A Masonic service will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a time of sharing and remembering John's life. JOHN DONALD PEAVEY, age 97 of Grand Rapids, MN, died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Grand Village.

John was born in 1916 to John W. and Geraldine Peavey in Grand Rapids, MN. He also grew up and attended schools in Grand Rapids. John was united in marriage to Earlene Phifer in November 1938. He was employed with Grand Rapids Public Utilities for over 30 years.

Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife; 9 siblings; and daughter-in-law, Virginia Peavey.

John is survived by his son, John �Jack� Peavey of Grand Rapids, MN; three sisters, Midge Becicka of Kent, WA, Jerry Ann (Roddy) Hicks and Jane Guertin both of Grand Rapids, MN; 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Itasca-Calvary Cemetery in Grand Rapids, MN.

PEAVEY, MARGARET

BUFFALO MN

Margaret C. Peavey, age 89, of rural Buffalo died Saturday, December 3, 2005 at the Delano Healthcare Center.

She was born on September 28, 1916 in Otsego, Wright County the daughter of Herbert and Lucy Borthwick Cooley.

She graduated from Elk River High School in 1934.

On August 16, 1937, Margaret C. Cooley and Elmer R. Peavey were joined in holy marriage in Otsego. God blessed their marriage with eight children.

Mr. and Mrs. Peavey engaged in dairy farming in Marysville Township for many years. Elmer Peavey preceded his wife in death in 1977.

Through the years, Margaret enjoyed being a homemaker on the family farm. She formerly worked at Keplinger's Eggs, and enjoyed making quilts and homemade bread She was a faithful member of the Buffalo United Methodist Church.

Survived by sons: James (Ruth) Peavey of Buffalo, Donald (Diane) Peavey of Hudson, Wisconsin, Dale (Patty) Peavey of Buffalo; daughters: Carole (Willard) James of Monticello, Susan (Howard) Grangroth Jr. of Waverly, Wanda Rosenow of Lancaster, California, Elaine (Jeff) Howell of Hutchinson and Rita (Richard) Jewell of Buffalo; twenty-two grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; a brother and sisters: Robert (Virginia) Cooley of Burnsville, Ruth Pemberton of Monticello and Myrtice Anderson of Barnesville; sisters-in-law: Sarah Connett, Lillian Cooley and Dorothy Cooley; many other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, Margaret was preceded in death by grandsons: Joey and Andy, a great grandson: Shawn, son-in-law: Virgil Rosenow, her parents: Herbert and Lucy Cooley, three brothers and a sister.

Funeral services for Margaret Peavey were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 7th at the Buffalo United Methodist Church. Reverend Ruth Ann Ramstad officiated and interment followed at Lakeview Cemetery.

Friends called on Tuesday, December 6th at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo from 4-8 p.m. Casket bearers were Duane James, John Peavey, Pat Grangroth, Jason Cavanaugh, Nick peavey, Derek Gustafson and David Peavey. The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.

GRAND RAPIDS MN

Virginia Beth Peavey, age 73, of Grand Rapids, MN, died Friday January 24, 2014 at Essentia Health St. Mary�s, Duluth, MN.

She was born in 1940 to Alfred and Mildred Pittack in Grand Rapids, MN. Virginia graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1959 and attended the program for an x-ray technician at the College of Medical Technology in Minneapolis. She was employed at the Deer River Hospital and later the North Star Clinic in Grand Rapids as an x-ray technician. Virginia married John Peavey on June 3, 1967 in Grand Rapids. She also held the position of township clerk with the Grand Rapids Township for 20 years. She enjoyed quilting and sewing during her spare time.

Preceding her in death were her parents. Virginia is survived by her husband, John �Jack�; son, Steven (Roberta) Peavey of Euclid, MN; daughter, Mary (Scott) Holland of Sanford, NC; step-daughter, Gayle (Kris) Shawcross of Spotsylvania, VA; brothers, Lowell (Judy) Pittack of Warba, MN and Robert (Gina) Pittack of Bovey, MN; 7 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, January 27, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rowe Funeral Home in Grand Rapids, MN. Visitation will continue at church on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. memorial service at the Community Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids, MN. Rev. Kimbrel Johnson will officiate.

Burial will be at Itasca-Calvary Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MN at a later date.

CRYSTAL SPRINGS, MN

Jon N. Pevey of Crystal Springs, MS passed away at his home on Friday, August 3, 2012.

Born November 8, 1955, in Greenville, MS, Jon was the son of Frank and Ernestine (Tina) Pevey. Jon graduated from Bayou Academy in 1973 and attended Delta State University.

Jon is survived by his wife, Tandi, his son, Ian from Pascagoula, and his faithful dog Bodie. He is also survived by his father Frank D. Pevey of Crystal Springs, sister Lillian Prewitt (Carl) of Byram, a brother Frank Pevey (Jerry Anne) of Hernando, sister Wanda Johnson (Don) of Hernando, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Ernestine Pevey.

The Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. � 7 p.m. Monday August 6 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson, MS and again one hour prior to the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. August 7. Interment will be at Old Crystal Springs Cemetery in Crystal Springs, MS following the service.
