Generation No. 1

1. THATCHER1 PEAVEY was born 06 Jun 1809 in Lyman, York County, Maine, and died Aft. 1880 in Lyman, York County, Maine. He married REBECCA A. HODGKINS 02 Jun 1833 in Lyman, York County, Maine, daughter of WILLIAM HODGKINS and HANNAH JOHNSON. She was born 1805 in Saco, York County, Maine, and died Aft. 1880 in Lyman, York County, Maine.

Notes for THATCHER PEAVEY:
Thatcher Peavey is likely the son of Chandler Peavey based on the use of the name Chandler for Thatcher's son. At this point it is not possible to determine the mother of Thatcher because Chandler Peavey married Betsey Matthews in 1811 which was after the birth of Thatcher. Chandler also married Sarah Emerson at some point but her records show that according to the will of her brother Thomas, Sarah was still unmarried and under 18 in 1811. This record might be wrong but no other information has come forward to confirm the marriage date and age of Sarah Emerson. Chandler might have had another wife prior to his marriages to Betsey and Sarah.

Record for marriage comes from "Early Vital Records of Lyman Maine". Birth record for Thatcher comes from same source.
