2. JACOB2 PEAVEY (GERMAN1) was born Abt. 1830 in Krotoshine, Province of Posen, Germany. He married ROSALIE ? PEAVEY Abt. 1854 in Waterville, Kennebec County, Maine. She was born Abt. 1830.

Notes for JACOB PEAVEY:

This Jacob is not from the Edward peavey line. He came to America in 1848 from Germany. He and his brothers L. H. and Isaac started a clothing business in Maine and in Boston, Massachusetts known as Peavey Brothers. It was a very sucessful business. It is very important that we keep this line seperate from the Edward Peavey line in order to avoid costly errors and false trails. There are other Peavey families in Waterville that may or may not be connected with this line. Those lines are Charles and Sarah Peavy and James E. and Sarah Peavy. I've put them together for now, until we find the proper connections.
