Charles Hiram Peavey migrated from Maine to Missouri (according to the 1880 Mo. Census). He then left there and went to Iowa. They homesteaded in Nebraska and built their sod house. When their required time was finished, they sold their place and went to Iowa. According to the 1900 Iowa Census he was living in Union County, Iowa. At the time of his death he was living in a little house beside his son, Everett's farm house in Clearfield, Taylor County, Iowa.
