The "Register" vol. 81 states that William Pevey was one of the original proprietors of Barrington when it split off from Portsmouth. This would coincide with the other information on William regarding his location inPortsmouth prior to living in Barrington. It also fits with the direct line of Williams in this area who were taxed and bought and sold property. From 1731 to 1735, his estate (NotHim) was taxed in Barrington which would indicate a death date of c. 1730. (Mark & Harriet Kulow)
