Hudson had been a neighbor of Enoch's, living next door on the same side of the street for many years. It does not mention Enoch preaching at his funeral service.

Buried with his wife Hannah Pitman and his parents at Ridge Cemetery, Center, Strafford, Strafford County, New Hampshire.

Hannah's funeral was conducted by Rev. Enoch Place on Tuesday October 28, 1856 at her home in Strafford. She died while on a visit to her daughter in Exeter. The cause of death was from Stomach Congestion after a two day illness. Enoch lived just down the street from the Hudson Peavey family home and was a close friend to the family. She lived to be 77 years, 4 months and 8 days. She was a devout believer and had been baptized and joined the Congregational Church in Barnstead in 1815. "A deeply afflicted husband, five children, grandchildren, one brother and two sisters, with numerous other friends, deeply feel that one of the Gems of the earth has been added to the treasury of the heavenly world". Sarah Ann Montgomery nee Peavey passed away in 1843. The other five children of Hudson and Hannah were still living at this time.
